What is Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver?
Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver is a private Motor Takaful plan which provides one year cover for loss or damage to your vehicle due to fire or theft, plus third party bodily injury / death / property damage in addition to 24-hour roadside assistance (Tele Bantuan) program for breakdown towing and minor roadside repair. While this plan is in force, it allows you to activate Pay As You Drive daily cover for accidental damage to your vehicle with a complimentary personal accident cover and accident towing.
Who is this plan suitable for?
Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver is generally suitable for people who drive less or own a few cars.
How is this plan different from Takaful myClick Motor?
Takaful myClick Motor provides one year cover for loss or damage to your vehicle due to fire or theft, plus third party bodily injury / death / property damage as well as accidental damage to your vehicle.
Whereas the Base FlexiCover of Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver provides one year cover for loss or damage to your vehicle due to fire or theft, plus third party bodily injury / death / property damage. For accidental damage to your vehicle, you have the option to activate Pay As You Drive daily cover for such coverage.
If you drive less, generally, you can save more with Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver.
How can I apply for Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver?
You can apply Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver via our online sales portal at online.takaful-malaysia.com.my or Click for Cover mobile application. For coverage against accidental damage to your vehicle, you will need to activate Pay As You Drive daily cover via our Click for Cover mobile application.
How do I download the mobile application?
You can download our Click for Cover mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Who is eligible to apply for this plan?
This plan is offered to vehicle owners aged 18 years next birthday and above. The vehicles must be a private car aged less than 11 years with car market value ranged between RM70,000 to RM1.5mil.
Does Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver provides motor coverage outside Malaysia?
No, this plan does not provide motor coverage outside Malaysia except for The Republic of Singapore and Negara Brunei Darussalam. The extension of coverage for The Republic of Singapore and Negara Brunei Darussalam is automatic under Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver.
What is the coverage period for Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver?
The Base FlexiCover of Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver provides one year cover for loss or damage to your vehicle due to fire or theft, plus third party bodily injury / death / property damage. For the Pay As You Drive daily cover against accidental damage to your vehicle, the coverage is only effective on the coverage date(s) as activated by you.
Can I apply Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver without activating Pay As You Drive during the one-year coverage period? Will I be penalized?
There is no obligation to activate Pay As You Drive daily cover under Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver.
If you choose to do so, there will be no penalty to your Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver certificate.
Without Pay As You Drive daily cover, you will still be covered for loss or damage to your vehicle due to fire or theft, plus third party bodily injury / death / property damage under the Base FlexiCover of Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver. However, there will be no cover provided for accidental damage (own damage), accident towing to your vehicle and the complimentary personal accident cover will not be provided to you and your passengers too.
Can I apply Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver for Pay As You Drive daily cover only?
No, you must have a Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver certificate with Base FlexiCover that covers you for loss or damage to your vehicle due to fire or theft, plus third party bodily injury / death / property damage before you can activate Pay As You Drive daily cover for accidental damage (own damage).
What is covered under Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver?
The Base FlexiCover of Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver covers your vehicle for one year against:
- Loss or damage due to fire or theft;
- Your liability or your authorized drivers’ liability to third party for:
- Bodily injury or death;
- Property loss or damage.
What is payable under the complimentary personal accident coverage?
Each eligible driver and passenger will be entitled to a sum covered of RM15,000 per life in the event of accidental death or permanent disablement within 12 months from the date of accident while he/she is travelling in or alighting from the covered vehicle. Please note that this benefit is only provided on Pay As You Drive coverage date(s) as activated by you.
How much will be payable under complimentary personal accident cover if at the time of an accident, the number of passengers in my vehicle exceeds the seating capacity?
If the number of persons (including the driver) in your vehicle at the time of the accident exceeds the number of the seating capacity in the Vehicle Registration Card, our limit of liability per person will be reduced by the ratio of the number of passengers declared to that of the actual number of passengers.

Will my passengers and I be covered for a complimentary personal accident (PA) coverage if my car met with an accident when it is used for rendering Grab service?
No, the complimentary PA cover will not be provided when you use your car as a private taxi by charging fares to carry passengers or as a hire car by charging rental to use your car.
How do I increase my personal accident coverage?
You can include Motor PA Plus which provides an additional cover for the driver and passengers travelling in your vehicle against death or permanent disablement due to a road accident. It also comes with breakdown towing up to a maximum limit as selected by you. These benefits are payable on top of the complimentary personal accident of RM15,000 for each person and 50km breakdown towing. There are 3 plans to choose from, subject to an additional contribution. You can refer to the Product Disclosure Sheet here for more details. Please note that the additional cover under Motor PA Plus provides one-year coverage, even if your vehicle is not covered with the Pay As You Drive daily cover.
What are the add-on coverage under Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver besides Pay As You Drive daily cover?
You can include the following additional cover (subject to an additional contribution) under Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver:
- Cover for Windscreens, Windows & Sunroof
- Motor PA Plus which provides personal accident and breakdown towing
- Key Replacement which covers loss of car keys
Can I include the add-on coverage, such as windscreen cover, Motor PA Plus and Key Replacement after Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver certificate is issued?
No, the additional cover must be included at the time when you apply for Base FlexiCover of Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver.
What is the difference between Minimum Sum Covered and Recommended Sum Covered for windscreen?
The Recommended Sum Covered for windscreen is the windscreen value based on the estimated replacement cost of windscreen from your car manufacturer whereas the Minimum Sum Covered for windscreen is based on the estimated replacement cost of windscreen by any windscreen suppliers other than your car manufacturer. Please be advised that your vehicle’s warranty may be affected if you replace your windscreen from any windscreen suppliers other than your car manufacturer.
How my vehicle sum covered is being determined under this plan?
Your vehicle sum covered will be determined based on the current market value of the vehicle at the time of renewal of your motor takaful in reference to the Insurance Services Malaysia (ISM) Automotive Business Intelligence (ABI) vehicle valuation database. We will reimburse you with the market value of your vehicle at the time of claim up to the sum covered as selected by you.
Can I include additional drivers under my certificate? Is there an extra charge?
All your authorised drivers are automatically covered at no extra costs and you do not need to provide their details too.
Is there any Roadside Assistance Program offered by Takaful Malaysia?
Yes, we offer the Tele Bantuan roadside assistance program for Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver.

What is Tele Bantuan?
Tele Bantuan is our 24/7 emergency car assistance program provided to all our eligible participants with a Comprehensive Private Motor Takaful coverage including Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver. All participants of Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver will enjoy the following benefits during the one-year certificate period, even if your vehicle is not covered with the Pay As You Drive daily cover:
- Free labour costs for minor roadside repair up to 2 hours if your vehicle experiences a breakdown;
- Free towing service up to 50km per event from the breakdown scene to our nearest panel workshop. For any additional distance exceeding 50km, there is an additional cost of RM2.00 per km which you are required to pay.
If I need a minor roadside repair such as minor wiring work, how much do I need to pay?
We will cover the labour costs up to a maximum 2 hours for minor roadside assistance, even if your vehicle is not covered with Pay As Your Drive daily cover. It will cost you nothing if the repair takes less than 2 hours. However, any spare part cost other than the labour cost will be borne by you.
Can I increase my towing limit?
Yes, you can include Motor PA Plus coverage which provides an additional breakdown towing up to a maximum limit as selected by you. This is on top of the complimentary 50km breakdown towing. There are 3 plans to choose from, subject to an additional contribution. You can refer to the Product Disclosure Sheet here for more details. Please note that the breakdown towing under Motor PA Plus provides one-year coverage, even if your vehicle is not covered with the Pay As You Drive daily cover.
My car breaks down 60km from the nearest panel workshop, can I still request for the towing service?
Yes, you can. We will cover your breakdown towing fee up to 50km, even if your vehicle is not covered with the Pay As You Drive daily cover. If you have the Motor PA Plus coverage, you will be covered automatically for the additional distance up to the maximum limit as selected by you. If you do not have the Motor PA Plus coverage, you will need to pay for the additional distance at the rate of RM2.00 per km. In this case, you will need to bear the cost for 10km, which is RM20.00 (10km x RM2.00).
If I am involved in an accident, can I request for a towing service?
Yes, we provide free accident towing service to our nearest panel workshop up to RM200 PROVIDED THAT your vehicle is covered with Pay As You Drive daily cover for accidental damage at the point of accident. No accident towing will be provided if your vehicle is not covered with Pay As You Drive daily cover for accidental damage at the point of accident.
Who should I contact for the Tele Bantuan assistance services?
You can submit your assistance request via our mobile app under the Tele Bantuan for an immediate response. Otherwise, you may contact our 24 hours Tele Bantuan helpline at 1800-888-788.
What is not covered under the Tele Bantuan?
We do not cover the following events under the Tele Bantuan:
- Services which are not organized or pre-approved directly by our Tele Bantuan service provider;
- Any costs or expenses not expressly covered under the program;
- Cost of services which are claimable under the Comprehensive Private Motor Takaful certificate;
- If the covered vehicle is or has been modified for participation in a rally and racing or modified against the government regulations;
- Any private vehicle used for commercial or business purposes or registered other than as a private motor vehicle (excluding motorcycle);
- When the car keys are not available, damaged or locked inside the covered vehicle;
- Towing of a covered vehicle for the purpose of disposing the vehicle;
- Towing of a covered vehicle for the purpose of transferring the vehicle from one workshop to another;
- No valid road tax displayed on the covered vehicle; or
- If the covered vehicle suffers a breakdown and is immobilized on an unpaved road surface or on a non-gazetted road in Malaysia.
What is covered under Pay As You Drive daily cover?
With Pay As You Drive daily cover, your vehicle is protected against accidental damage (own damage) and also accident towing. In addition, it provides complimentary personal accident cover of RM15,000 for you and your passengers. Pay As You Drive is provided only on the coverage date(s) as activated by you in our mobile application, subject to the additional contribution.
When can I activate Pay As You Drive?
You must be covered with Base FlexiCover of Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver certificate before you can activate Pay As You Drive daily cover. You will need to activate Pay As You Drive daily cover by 11.59pm a day before your coverage starts on the next day. For example, if you would like your vehicle to be protected with accidental damage on 30 September 2021, you will need to activate Pay As You Drive via our Click for Cover mobile app by 11.59pm on 29 September 2020.
When does the coverage for Pay As You Drive start?
The coverage for Pay As You Drive starts from 12am and ends at 11.59pm on daily basis.
For example, if you have activated the coverage date on 1 October 2021, your coverage for Pay As You Drive will start at 12am and end at 11.59pm on 1 October 2021.
How much can I save under Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver if I do not activate Pay As You Drive daily cover for accidental damage as compared to Takaful myClick Motor?
You could save up to 70% of Takaful myClick Motor contribution. Below sample is for illustration only, and it is based on certain assumptions of driver and vehicle profile. The contribution may also vary depending on the vehicle’s cubic capacity and sum covered. The savings thus may vary too.

Would the total contribution under Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver be higher than the contributions for comprehensive cover or Third Party, Fire and Theft (TPFT) cover if I activate Pay As You Drive daily cover?
Yes, if you drive more and activate Pay As You Drive daily cover for more than 150 days a year, you will be required to pay higher contribution under Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver. Below sample is for illustration only, and it is based on certain assumptions of driver and vehicle profile. The contribution may also vary depending on the vehicle’s cubic capacity and sum covered. The savings thus may vary too.

Is there any maximum number of days for my vehicle to be covered under Pay As You Drive?
No, there is no maximum limit as long as the coverage date(s) is within the certificate period of your Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver. However, for each activation on Pay As You Drive daily cover via our mobile app, it is limited to a maximum number of 10 days. If you wish to select more than 10 days, you can perform multiple transaction requests via our mobile app. Please note that the total contribution that you have to pay for Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver would be higher than Takaful myClick Motor (Comprehensive Cover) if you activate the Pay As You Drive daily cover for more than 150 days a year.
Can I activate Pay As You Drive daily cover in advance?
Yes, so long your Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver certificate is in force, you can activate Pay As You Drive daily cover in advance by selecting the future coverage date(s) via the mobile app, subject to a maximum number of 10 days for each activation. No limit on the number of activations made for Pay As You Drive daily cover. Please note that the coverage date(s) must be within the certificate period of your Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver.
How much do I have to pay for Pay As You Drive daily cover?
The contribution for Pay As You Drive daily cover is vary depending on the no claim discount (NCD) entitlement and our rating factors such as sum covered, vehicle age, vehicle make and model as well as the driver's age. Your daily contribution for Pay As You Drive daily cover (after Service Tax and rebate, if any) will be shown when you request the quotation for Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver.
Where can I view my Pay As You Drive daily cover history?
You can view your Pay As You Drive daily cover history via our mobile app.
Can I cancel Pay As You Drive daily cover that I have activated and get a refund?
No, there will be no contribution refund for cancellation of Pay As You Drive daily cover. However, you can update with a new date before the commencement of your coverage date(s) via our mobile app.
What happens if I forget to activate Pay As You Drive daily cover before the commencement of my road trip?
Your vehicle will only be covered for loss or damage to your vehicle due to fire or theft, plus third party bodily injury / death / property damage but not loss or damage to your vehicle due to accident (own damage) if you do not activate Pay As You Drive daily cover via our Click for Cover mobile app.
This can lead to a financial burden. Examples include:
- You will not receive a payout from us on accidental damage (own damage) and towing claim. You will thus need to bear this cost on your own.
- You will be required to bear the full outstanding loan amount if your vehicle is still under the hire purchase.
We advise you to check your daily cover details and activate Pay As You Drive daily cover via our Click for Cover mobile app before you drive on the road.
Can I activate Pay As You Drive daily cover after my road trip has commenced?
Yes, you can activate Pay As You Drive daily cover for the next day onwards of your road trip as long as you apply via the mobile app by 11.59pm of the day. However, you will not be allowed to activate Pay As You Drive daily cover after an accident occurs. Thus, it is important to check your daily cover details and activate Pay As You Drive daily cover via our Click for Cover mobile app when you need this coverage.
If I activate Pay As You Drive daily cover for day T but not for day T+1, would the claim be payable in the event that a drive on day T crosses over 12am of day T+1 and an accident occurs after 12am (day T+1)?
No, any loss or damage to your vehicle due to an accident (own damage) will not be covered on day T+ 1 if you do not activate Pay As You Drive daily cover for day T+ 1 via our Click for Cover mobile app. You will need to extend the daily cover to day T+1 to be covered under such circumstances.
Is Service Tax (SST) applicable for this plan?
Yes, the plan is subject to a 8% Service Tax.
What are the payment methods allowed for this plan?
You can make the contribution payment via the following options:
- Credit / debit card (including instalment plan options*)
- Current / savings account via FPX
- e-Wallet**
- Boost
- GrabPay
- Maybank QRPay
- TouchNGo
**Subject to the minimum and maximum spending limit as imposed by the respective e-Wallet providers.
What are the instalment plan options offered?
We offer 2 types of instalment plan options:
- Maybank EzyPay Instalment Plan (EPP) to Maybank individual Visa/MasterCard cardholders; and
- CIMB Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) to CIMB individual Visa/MasterCard cardholders.
What is the available instalment payment period?
At the moment, we only offer an instalment payment period of 6 months at zero (0%) interest for both Maybank and CIMB individual cardholders.
How do I qualify for the instalment plan offered?
You can choose to pay your motor contribution with the 0% instalment plan if your total amount payable is above RM500 for Maybank instalment plan or RM600 for CIMB instalment plan. The amount shall include the stamp duty and service tax. Please note that the contribution payable for Pay As You Drive daily cover is not eligible for the instalment plan.
Is there any additional fee for the instalment plan options?
There is no additional fee charged by Takaful Malaysia for the zero (0%) interest instalment plan offered. However, we suggest you to check with the respective issuing bank for the full terms and conditions of the instalment plan.
How do I renew my motor takaful cover?
You can renew your motor takaful cover online via our Click for Cover online sales portal or via our mobile app. If you have applied for this plan before, we will send a Notice of Expiry (NOE) to you 30 days before your coverage expires and you can renew your motor takaful cover by clicking on the link provided in the NOE.
Can I increase / decrease the sum covered for my vehicle anytime during the cover period?
No, change of sum covered is not allowed after the certificate is issued.
I have sold my car to another person. Can I transfer the motor takaful cover to the new owner?
No, you are not allowed to transfer your motor takaful coverage to another person. You are advised to cancel your motor takaful coverage and the new owner must apply for a new motor coverage.
Will I get a refund if I surrender my certificate?
Yes, you are entitled to a prorate refund provided there is no claim has been made under your certificate, including no claims made on additional coverage. However, there is no refund of the additional contribution that you have paid for Pay As You Drive daily cover if you have activated your coverage date(s) prior to the cancellation.
How do I submit my request for a cancellation or termination?
You can submit the cancellation or termination request via myTakaful Customer portal, subject to approval by Takaful Malaysia.
What should I do if there are changes to my contact details?
You can update your contact details via our myTakaful Customer portal, subject to approval by Takaful Malaysia.
In the event of a breakdown, how much do I need to pay for the towing fee?
We will cover the towing fee up to the maximum distance of 50km from the breakdown scene to our nearest panel workshop, even if your vehicle is not covered with the Pay As You Drive daily cover. If you have the Motor PA Plus coverage, you will be covered automatically for the additional distance up to the maximum limit as selected by you. If you do not have the Motor PA Plus coverage, you will need to pay for the additional distance at the rate of RM2.00 per km.
What should I do if I’m involved in an accident?
If your vehicle is covered with Pay As You Drive daily cover for accidental damage, you can request accident towing via our mobile app under the Tele Bantuan and our service provider will assist you to lodge a police report accordingly. You can also call our 24 hours Tele Bantuan helpline at 1800-888-788. If your vehicle is not covered with Pay As You Drive daily cover for accidental damage, please call the 24/7 Accident Assist hotline at 15-500 for assistance. How do I get the list of panel workshops in my area?
You can locate the nearest panel workshops at your convenience via our mobile app under the Tele Bantuan. Alternatively, please click here for the list of panel workshops.
Can I choose my own repairer when I make a claim?
You should choose any one of the panel workshops approved by Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Am Berhad to facilitate faster claims processing and enjoy a 6-month warranty for workmanship repairs by our panel repairers.
How do I make a windscreen repair claim?
It’s easy, you just need to send your vehicle to any of our windscreen panel workshops listed here and they will liaise with us on the claim. However, we will only be liable for the claims up to your selected windscreen sum covered, provided that you have included the additional cover for windscreens at the time when you apply for Base FlexiCover of Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver.
Will my No-Claim-Discount (NCD) be affected if I make a windscreen claim?
If you have included an additional windscreen cover to your certificate, you can claim from your windscreen cover without affecting your NCD. Otherwise, you will lose your NCD if you claim from your Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver certificate to replace the broken windscreen.
What if I lost my car key?
You will need to submit a copy of the police report on the incident and the original receipt for the cost of replacing the key to us. Upon receipt of such documents, we will reimburse you 80% of the cost to replace the key up to the sum covered as selected by you, provided that you have included the additional cover for key replacement at the time when you apply for Base FlexiCover of Takaful myClick Motor FlexiSaver.
